Serrated lips give the channel nut a positive lock, for connections that must carry a higher load along the channel.
On standard channel the serrated channel nut bites into the plain inturned lips; on toothed channel the lips are serrated as well, so nut and channel interlock. It is chosen where a connection must take a higher load along the channel. Toothed versions are ordered with a “T” after the part number, for example CCH-220T.
