In chemical plants, desalination, water treatment and coastal sites, galvanised steel can corrode well within the design life of the building. Pultruded FRP trays and ladders are corrosion-resistant and need minimal maintenance on site, and vinyl ester resin is available for the most aggressive environments.
FRP is also non-conductive and non-magnetic, which removes the earthing and induction concerns of a metal system, and its high strength-to-weight ratio makes it easy to handle on long runs and rooftop plant.
