Ladder and truss reinforcement laid in the bed joint to distribute shrinkage stress along the wall.

Blockwork shrinks as it dries, and a long wall without reinforcement relieves that stress by cracking. Bed-joint reinforcement laid in the horizontal joints spreads that stress along the wall and reduces cracking around openings; it also increases the wall's lateral flexural strength under wind and seismic load and bonds walls together at corners and junctions.
Plaster beads, expanded metal lath, steel lintels, blockwork accessories and blockwork reinforcement are all covered by the same KAVITY-03 catalogue.
